Asia No.1 Woodworking Show - WMF 2008, the 12th Edition
The Biennial event WMF - "International Exhibition on Woodworking Machinery and Furniture Manufacturing Equipment" and "International Exhibition on Furniture Accessories, Materials and Wood Products" will be held again at China International Exhibition Centre (CIEC), Beijing, P.R. China on March 7 - 10, 2008.
2006 was an important milestone for WMF. The exhibition scale reached 44,000 sq.m. in last event, making WMF become the largest woodworking show in Asia. There were 530 exhibitors coming from 19 countries and regions and over 1,000 pieces of machine were displayed and demonstrated in the fairground. This gave WMF an overwhelmingly good profile and rich contents of exhibits over other similar events in China. In 2008, all Halls 1-9 of CIEC will be used again. The 2nd floor of Hall 1 will be newly used as an expansion of material zone, pushing total scale 20% further up to a new record of 53,000 sq.m.
WMF, with over 20 years of history, is highly recognized by the industry as the best event for trading and technology exchange. Last year, WMF attracted around 25,000 professional visitors from 65 countries and regions to attend and purchase in the show. Starting as the first show of its kind in China in 1986, this biennial event has been held continuously and successfully in Beijing. There is no doubt about its contribution and influence on the woodworking and furniture manufacturing industries. Along with the new breakthrough of WMF, the organizer will set up a photo gallery during the show to share the good memory of the past 11 events.
A new concept of "Premium Halls" will be adopted in 2008. This provides a wonderful choice to those exhibitors who take proactive approach to enhance brand image. This "Premium Halls" will be promoted as the show focus with superior positioning. The related decoration and service will be upgraded too. The "Premium Halls" will occupy Halls 2-5 and has a total scale of 15,000 sq.m.
WMF 2008 's honorary organizers are the State Forestry Administration of P.R. China and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. The organizers include China National Forestry Machinery Association, China International Forestry Group Corporation, China Building Decoration Association, China International Exhibition Centre Group Corporation and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. Sponsors include China National Forestry Materials Supply & Marketing Corporation, China National Forest Products Industry Corporation, China National Forest Products Trading Corporation and China Planning and Design of Forest Products Industry.
WMF 2008 will display a wide spectrum of woodworking machinery, such as sanding, drilling, cutting machine, CNC router, wood drying equipment, materials handling equipment, complete panel manufacturing plant, sawmill equipment, secondary processing machinery, finishing and coating machines, furniture manufacturing machine, cutting tools and other auxiliary equipment and system, etc. The accessory part will include abrasives, adhesives, assembly fittings, chemicals, decorative paper, edge-banding, flooring, furniture components and accessories, furniture hardware, surface treatment materials, timber & panels, etc.
