The 15th edition of Printing South China and Sino-Pack together with Sino-Label 2008 and China Drinktec 2008 ended with resounding success on 7th March 2008 at China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex, Guangzhou, PR China. The 4 shows achieved record-breaking result in terms of exhibition scale, number of exhibitors and trade visitors. More than 800 exhibitors from 19 countries/ regions demonstrated their latest products and technologies in the exhibitions, consumed an exhibition area of over 50,000 sq.m. Moreover, the 4 shows also recorded a remarkable visitor traffic of 41,692, who came to explore infinite business opportunities.

The opening ceremony was well attended by officials and industrial leaders, with a speech delivered by Mr. Yang Guangrui, the Deputy Director General of Administration of Press and Publication of Guangdong Province. Other honorably guests included Ms. Jiang Haiyan, the Deputy Secretary General of People's Government of Guangdong Province, Mr. Huang Shangli, the Chairman of Guangdong Provincial Publishing Group, and representatives from Consulate General of Malaysia in Canton, Consulate General of France in Canton, Consulate General of Indonesia in Canton, China Foreign Trade Center (Group) and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd.

The 4 shows established an effective sourcing platform for both exhibitors and trade visitors. For instance, Guangdong Xin Hua Printing confirmed a purchase onsite, costing RMB15 millions, which included two sets of rotary machines with 8-mode and a plastics binding production line from Beiren, together with a saddle stitches production line from Shanghai Electric.

The 4 shows achieved a remarkable record of 41,692 visitor traffic from 83 countries/ regions, which included 6,713 overseas visitors. Among the local visitors, over 70% came from the South China regions, particularly manufacturers from factories located in Shenzhen, Dongguan, Foshan, Zhongshan, Guangzhou and Huizhou. What's more, numerous professional buyers came from renowned enterprises such as Win Label, People's Printing Plant of Guangzhou from China and Citizen Screen from Malaysia. Also, a number of key buyers came from prominent enterprises in food and beverage industries such as Lee Kum Kei, Vitasoy, Guangzhou President, Caribbean Beverages from South America, Vietnam Tea Exporter, Water Genisis from Malaysia and Brindavan Agro (authorized bottler of Coca Cola in India), etc.

In addition, over 10 local and overseas delegations were organized to visit the shows, including the delegations organized by Administration of Press and Publication of Guangdong Province, Publishing & Printing Materials Co., Ltd of China, Guangzhou Publishing and Printing Association and Guangdong Provincial Alcohol Industry Association Beer Branch. Besides, delegation groups were also organized by various printing and packaging associations / organizations from Liaoning province, Zhengzhou city of Henan province, Longyan city of Fujian province, Yulin, Nanning, Wuzhou and Beihai cities of Guangxi province as well as Guangzhou, Zhuhai and Dongguan cities of Guangdong province. Vietnam and Indonesia delegation groups also showed their strong presence at the shows.

Printing South China, Sino-Label, Sino-Pack and China Drinktec 2008 surpassed the past events in terms of exhibition scale and quality of exhibits. The advanced and brand new exhibits satisfied the growing needs of printing and packaging market in the South China region. Many exhibitors commented that the onsite sales was particularly active this year. Some exhibitors' quotes were highlighted as below:

Guangdong is the largest province in the South China region and in which Guangzhou has the largest capacity in the market and most of our clients come from here. The symposia attracted over hundreds industry professionals, who were mainly working in daily chemicals, food, printing, packaging and label printing factories.

The beverage packaging machine displayed by Dase Sing attracted the attention of numerous trade visitors.
