EP / Electrical China 2006 (The 11th International Exhibition on Electric Power Equipment and Technology and The 4th International Exhibition on Electrical Engineering, Electrical Equipment and Contractors' Supplies) come to an end on November 3, 2006. The four-day expo successfully brought 26,800 local and overseas visitors to meet with over 300 exhibitors, precipitating the speedy development of electric power industry in China.
Held from October 31 - November 3, 2006 at the China International Exhibition Center, Beijing, PR China, over 300 exhibitors from 21 countries / regions assembled at the four exhibition halls with an array of advanced power equipments and technologies. With the presence of several international pavilions from BEAMA of UK, The Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology of Germany, U.S. Commercial Service, Korea Electrical Manufacturers' Cooperative (KEMC) and Korea Electrical Manufacturers' Association (KOEMA), the expo was recognized to be the most internationalized trade event of its kind in China. It is no doubt that 70% exhibitors have already reserved their booth space for next edition.
Serving as a hub for global sourcing, EP / Electrical China 2006 attracted 26,800 visitors in which 1,500 visitors came from 50 countries / regions. According to visitors business profile, most of them were engaged in power R&D institute, power supply bureaus/groups, power generation, power T&D, LV electrical power R&D institute, electrical engineering firm and electric equipment manufacturers, etc. The expo overwhelmingly gathered those key players and professionals in the industry under one roof.
EP / Electrical China 2006 was well attended by major industrial players. On the opening day, the Vice Chairman of the State Electricity Regulatory Commission and the President of China Electricity Council were invited to give the ribbon-cutting ceremony, and the presence of other honorable guests from Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), State Grid Corporation of China, China Southern Power Grid Co. Ltd., China Huaneng Group, China Datang Corporation, China Huadian Corporation, China GuoDian Corporation, Shenhua Energy Co Shenhua Group, China Guangdong Nuclear Power Holding Co, Ltd., China Electric Power Research Institute and representatives from related organizations.
Besides, the expo also aroused active participation in the power industry throughout the country. The majority of Chinese visitors came from North China, East China and Central China regions while over 12 buyer delegations were organized by Chinese electricity associations and organizations. Amongst were come from provinces of Henan, Liaoning, Shandong, Shanxi, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui.
The on-site visitor survey consolidated positive feedbacks towards the expo. Over 80% visitors were satisfied with the expo. Nearly 75% achieved their target of collecting information on new technology and products during the visit; over 30% had high tendency to have business deal with exhibitors while over 40% would further contact with their interested suppliers after the expo. The organizer was glad to see the expo serving as a trading platform and information exchange among Chinese and international buyers and suppliers.
Mr. Zhao, the General Engineer of Henan Luoyang Power Supply Company, took this chance to acquire new technology and market updates, and was interested in some MV / LV products at the fairground. He appreciated the concurrent symposiums and seminars which introduced in-depth power technology, applications, and new products. He found this kind of interaction was more applicable and welcome by power supply units. Mr. Wang of Fujian Quanzhou Jiangnan Cooler Factory found the visit fruitful by seeing both big names and some unique product suppliers at a time. Mr. Liu, the engineer of Ke Hai initially planned to meet recognized companies like ABB, Schneider, yet found many attractive electrical products in the show.
Many exhibitors acknowledged the high visitor quality in EP / Electrical China 2006. The Communication Supervisor of ABB (China) Limited, Mr. Shi remarked that they were satisfied with both quality and quantity of the visitors in the expo, as well as its high standard and specialization.
EP / Electrical China 2006 succeeded in bringing together the world's leading power and electrical companies such as 3M, ABB, Siemens, Dupont, Eaton, EDF, Emerson, Hitachi, Huadian Switchgear, Hyosung, Japan AE Power System, LS Cable, LS Industrial Systems, NRG, Rittal, Schneider, Suzlon, Toshiba, etc.
The concurrent conference organized by China Electricity Council, "China Power Technology Conference - Sustainable Development of China Power Industry" was held effectively either. More than 80 industrial specialists gave reports and speeches on the technological advances and power innovations covering in 6 sessions: "renewable energy / energy saving", "nuclear energy", "power generation", power transmission", "environmental protection" and "power automation". The conference was well attended by decision makers and professionals from 12 countries/regions, enlightening the development of China electric power industry.
Moreover, many visitors were attracted to concurrent symposiums and technical seminars with topics covered ABB's Power Solutions, Dow Corning's "About the application of liquid silicone rubber for the production of high voltage hollow" and "The selection and long term performance of HVIC for power utilities", Nexans' "The experience of Nexans in windparks in Europe" while Schneider and Swan had technical seminars sessions for in-depth analysis on their technological advances and experiences with visitors.
EP China is the only power expo endorsed by UFI Approved Event in China. It is the unique expo organized by the China Electricity Council, with strong support from the State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PRC), the five Power Group Corporations and the two Power Grid Corporations while Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd is the overseas co-organizer.
