Boost New Opportunity - International Power Giants Meet at EP / Electrical China |

The well-known EP / Electrical China 2006 (The 11th International Exhibition on Electric Power Equipment and Technology and The 4th International Exhibition on Electrical Engineering, Electrical Equipment and Contractors' Supplies) will be held from October 31 - November 3, 2006 at the China International Exhibition Center (Hall 2 - 5), Beijing, PR China. The expo will showcase the latest applications and technology development to the power industry by hundreds of renowned overseas and local power corporations, system and equipment manufacturers.
EP / Electrical China 2006 has gained unprecedented participation from overseas exhibitors coming from over 20 countries / regions, amongst are Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Denmark, Finland, USA, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan, etc. There will be also 8 international pavilions, including BEAMA of UK, The Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology of Germany, U.S. Commercial Service and Korea Electrical Manufacturers' Cooperative (KEMC). In addition, it is the first time of UBI of France, IEEMA of India, RIET of Singapore and Korea Electrical Manufacturers' Association (KOEMA) to participate in power expo in China.
The expo is well attended by the world's leading companies such as 3M, ABB, Areva, Schneider, GE Energy, Hitachi, Siemens, Toshiba, LS Cable, LS Industrial Systems, Dupont, Rittal, Eaton, Emerson, Japan AE Power System, Hyosung, NRG, Huadian Switchgear, etc. Nearly 300 exhibitors will showcase their latest technology and equipment under one roof.
In 2005, power generation in China reached 2474Twh, in which 16% was generated from hydro power, around 2% from nuclear power and wind power. Strong demand on increasing and stabilizing the power supply and arising nationwide concern to environmental protection, all contributed to the effective of China Renewable Energy Law. By 2020, the target of wind power and nuclear power has set to reach 30GW and 40GW respectively. Huge potential market has brought tremendous business opportunities to power equipment and system providers. In 2006 edition, EP / Electrical China will add in a new theme zone "Renewable Energy" which in turn is a business platform bridging overseas suppliers and Chinese manufacturers and corporations. Suzlon, one of the world's leading wind power equipment suppliers, has announced its prominent participation in this theme zone.
KOEMA's pavilion will bring 2 major power corporations to exhibit in EP/Electrical China 2006 for the first time. Korea Western Power Co., Ltd., one of the leading power suppliers in Korea, takes up 13% of the national generating capacity mainly in thermal, combined cycle, and pumped storage power plants. The company is endeavoring in bringing the power generation technology to the overseas market. Another exhibitor, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., which supplies 40% of electricity use in Korea, is the biggest electric power company in Korea. Its remarkable nuclear and hydro power plants running system and technology will be showcased to the Chinese market at the same time.
Active participation of the international power corporations and manufacturers is ever the most in EP / Electrical China, inevitably to be a strong force to the renewable energy of the country.
EP / Electrical China 2006 is organized by the State Electricity Regulatory Commission, China Electricity Council, with extensive support from the five Power Grid Corporations and the two Power Group Corporations while Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd is the overseas co-organizer. Since 1986, it has been highly developed and recognized as one of the most largest power expo in Mainland China.
Besides, the China Power Technology Conference - Sustainable Development of China Power Industry organized by China Electricity Council will be held concurrently. With the support of the State Electricity Regulatory Commission, State Environmental Protection Administration of China, The Energy Bureau, National Development and Reform Commission, the five major Power Group Corporations and the two Power Grid Corporations, it is expected that over 300 delegates from power corporations, power grid corporations, power plant contractors, related governmental departments, research institutes, etc. will attend the conference and the expo overwhelmingly.
To promote technological exchange, a wide array of symposia will be held concurrently. Specific topics include "Power T&D Technology", "Green Power Technology", "Information Technology" and "Renewable Energy".
