Dalang - The Focus of Woolen Knitwear Industry

Dalang, situated in Dongguan City in Guangdong Province, is the base of woolen knitwear industry in China. The 6th China (Dalang) International Woolen Knitwear Fair (also known as WKF) will be held on 18-22 October at Dalang Woolen Trade Center in Dalang, with a series of spectacular concurrent events.

With the continuing advancement in clothing industry and textiles technology, woolen knitwear clothing is increasingly welcomed due to its comfort and convenience bringing to bustling consumers. In recent years particularly, woolen knitwear clothing keeps trendy and innovative and plays an important role in fashion nowadays.
In order to further drive the innovations of woolen knitwear industry in China, and to develop WKF from a business platform of OEM to an announcing platform and guidepost of woolen knitwear trend in China and in the world, China Woolen Textile Association and China Fashion Association are invited by the organizers of WKF to organize "Dalang Conference on China Woolen Apparel Trends Announcement for Fall 2008/ 2009" concurrently with WKF. The conference will synergize the outstanding fashion designs in China and in the world, making forecast of woolen knitwear fashion. The conference will therefore enhance the development of woolen knitwear brands in China and reinforce the status of WKF worldwide.

Fashion Show - a vivid demonstration
Several renowned woolen knitwear fashion designers from China and overseas will make forecast on the fashion trend. There will also be a fashion show by professional models to let audience experience the allure of fashion.
Thematic Show, a static demonstration
A specially designed display zone "China Woolen Apparel Trends for 2008/2009, featuring different themes, colours, patterns, styles of woolen knitwear trends for fall 2008/2009. There will be also mannequins showing woolen knitwear samples.
"The 5th China (Dalang) Woolen Apparel Design Contest"
"The 5th China (Dalang) Woolen Apparel Design Contest" will be held concurrently with WKF. The initial screening is completed recently. As the result of great success of the contest in previous years and the enormous promotion effort, the quality and quantity of entries this year are enhanced. 302 entries are received from 28 provinces, cities and regions of China, the number of entries increased by 50% when compared to last year, in which Hong Kong already has 29 entries. After the serious and demanding screening, 37 contestants including E-ho of Hong Kong Clothing Institute and Ye Xiao Xia of Dalang Mao Yong Group are qualified to the final. The final will be held at night on 21 October in the form of fashion show. There will be a T-shape bridge featuring the glamour of fashion. "The 5th China (Dalang) Woolen Apparel Design Contest" is surely a highlight of WKF!
