(November 16, 2007) The 8th China (Yiwu) International Exhibition on Hosiery, Knitting, Dyeing & Finishing Machinery 2007 ("Yiwu H&G"), the UFI-approved exhibition, was come to an end with big success this year at China Commodity City Meihu Exhibition Center of Yiwu, Zhejiang Province. It has drawn much attention from the industry together with the concurrent fair, China (Yiwu) International Exhibition on Knitting Yarns 2007.

This year, the shows have taken up a total area of 9,000 square meters and attracted nearly 150 exhibitors from 9 countries / regions to exhibit. Moreover, some 5,500 professional visitors, of which over 10% overseas attendants, were recorded.

Yiwu H&G is regarded as a strategic move in enterprises' plan according to the feedback from exhibitors and professional visitors. In view of the growing number of overseas visitors, visitors from Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Korea, Japan, HKSAR and Taiwan Province of PR China has raised to 60% this year. The encouraging result reveals Yiwu H&G's international and professional status.

The organizers was pleased to invite Mr. Sun Yiren, Chairman of the Hosiery Committee, China Knitting Industrial Association, as the guest of the reception dinner and opening ceremony. Along with the concurrent activities of Yiwu H&G, Shanghai Underwear Association and Yiwu City Hosiery Industry Association organized "Exchange Forum for Association and Entrepreneur in Shanghai and Zhejiang", with co-organizer Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. The forum has secured tremendous supports from entrepreneurs in the two regions, where all seats were taken. Although no media invitations were issued, some media requests have been received for admission. Speakers included Secretary-General of Shanghai Underwear Association, Mr. Chen Guoqi; Chairman of Langsha Group and Yiwu City Hosiery Industry Association, Mr. Weng Rongjin; Secretary-General of Yiwu City Hosiery Industry Association, Mr. Jin Shanfu; as well as representatives from Shanghai Hauzhong Hosiery Co Ltd, Shanghai LiTuo Knitting Co. Ltd and Yiwu HongLajiao Hoses Industry Co. Ltd. The forum featured latest information on export of hosiery industry in China; investigating the distribution of export enterprise in terms of region and business nature with quantitative analysis; thus comparing similarity and difference in the trend. It also studies international market changes, currency changes and industry competition for new business potentials. As the Chairman of Yiwu City Hosiery Industry Association and Vice-chairman of Shanghai Underwear Association, Mr. Weng Rongjin expresses his thought of a closer collaboration between Shanghai and Zhejiang through better communication and resources exchange. From price war to technology development, Yiwu will bring up more local brands in hosiery industry.

In responses to industries' call for arranging delegations, Shanghai Underwear Association, Haining City Hosiery Industry Association and Yiwu City Hosiery Industry Association have organized groups to visit the show. In addition, individual overseas visitors from USA, Japan, India, Pakistan, Arabic, Bangladesh, Egypt, Vietnam, HKSAR and Taiwan Province of PR China were recorded.

There were 6 thematic zones at the exhibition to cater different visitors' needs, namely "Braiding machines, Jacquards, crochet machines, zipper-making machines" zone and "Printing, labeling & logo printing, marking machines for fabrics" zone in Hall 1; "Knitting, hosiery knitting, glove knitting machines" zone, "Seamless underwear machines" zone, "Dyeing & finishing machines" zone and "Textile machines spare parts" zone in Hall 2; and "Elastomeric yarns and fibers" zone in Hall 5.

The 8th China (Yiwu) International Exhibition on Hosiery, Knitting, Dyeing & Finishing Machinery, and China (Yiwu) International Exhibition on Narrow Fabric, Braiding & Garment Machinery 2007 are jointly organized by Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (Zhejiang Sub-Council) and China Commodity City Group Co Ltd. It is co-organized by Yiwu China Commodity City Exhibition Co. Ltd, China Commodity City Meihu Exhibition Centre and Zhejiang Economy and Trade International Exhibtion Centre Ltd.
