The Only Power Expo Endorsed as an UFI Approved Event in China

The 12th International Exhibition on Electric Power Equipment and Technology (EP China 2008) and the 5th International Exhibition on Electrical Engineering, Electrical Equipment and Contractors? Supplies (Electrical China 2008) are scheduled to be held from 12th - 14th November 2008 at China International Exhibition Centre, Beijing, PR China.
Found in 1986, EP / Electrical China and EP / Electrical Shanghai are organized by China Electricity Council and held rotationally in Shanghai and Beijing in alternate years. Being the largest and the most reputable electric power and electrical trade fair in China, EP China / Shanghai has become the only power expo endorsed by UFI Approved Event in China, with full supports from the major power group corporations and power grid corporations in China.
In the last edition, EP / Electrical Shanghai 2007 had successfully attracted over 250 exhibitors from 16 countries / regions, covering a floor space of over 10,000sqm. Leading exhibitors included ABB, GE Energy, 3M, Siemens, Areva T&D, Japan AE Power, Hitachi, Daqo Group, Hyosung, Hager, EDF, ENEL, Toshiba, Ormazabal, Schniewindt, Huadian Switchgear etc. What?s more, there were official German and US pavilion, organized by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology of Germany (BMWi) and Embassy of the United States of America - US Commercial Service respectively.
In addition, a series of high-end concurrent events were concurrently held during EP / Electrical Shanghai 2007, which included the followings:
 On-site forum on " Introduction of Newly Planned Electric Power Projects in China and Analysis of the Business Opportunity" organized by BHI.COM.CN, under Research Institute of National Development & Reform Commission of PR China (NDRC)
Symposiums on Power T&D and Green Power Technology
China International Power Generation Technology Conference organized by China Electricity Council
Serving as a global sourcing hub, EP / Electrical Shanghai 2007 had gathered nearly 20,000 buyers and visitors from all over China and overseas.
Built on this success, EP / Electrical China 2008 has been receiving overwhelming responses from both international trade associations and leading companies of the industry. The Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology of Germany, Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Embassy of the United States of America - US Commercial Service, Consulate General of Spain Economic & Commercial Office (ICEX), Embassy of the Czech Republic and UK Trade & Investment have shown their initiation to organize official pavilions. Global market players like 3M, ABB, Siemens, Hitachi, Hyosung, Schneider, Japan AE Power, Huadian Switchgear, NRG, Tamco Switchgear, etc. have either confirmed or reserved booth space at EP / Electrical China 2008.
Energy consumption in China has been increasing fast, pollutant emission from thermal power generation is getting more serious. To improve the situation, the "11th Five-Year Plan" sets stringent limits on emission, reducing national emission rate of pollutants by 10% and energy used for each unit of GDP by 20%. In line with the market trend, "Exhibition on Energy Conservation & Environmental Power" and the "China International Energy Conservation & Environmental Power Technology Conference" will be concurrently held with EP / Electrical China 2008. The major power corporations in China like Huaneng, Datang, Huadian, Guodian, etc. will be invited to showcase their achievements and their future planning on energy conservation and emission control. This will be an excellent and effective platform for both the equipment manufacturers and the domestics? buyers and end-users.
To attract more trade visitors and thus strengthen interactions among the industrial players, a series of symposiums on the Technology of Power T&D, Energy Conservation and Environmental Power will be held as well.
