Concurrent to 4 major furniture fairs in Guangdong province

Organized by China National Forestry Machinery Association, The People's Government of Shunde District, Foshan and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd., WMF Shunde 2007 will be staged again on Aug 21-23, 2007 at Shunde Exhibition Centre, Daliang, Shunde, Guangdong, P.R. China. A press conference was held on June 20 at Shunde, Guangdong Province. Honorary guests from governmental department and renowned associations, including The People's Government of Shunde District, Foshan, China National Forestry Machinery Association, Lunjiao Woodworking Machinery Chamber of Commerce, C.P.C Lunjiao Town, Committee, Shunde, have attended the event. Show highlights and the latest trend on Chinese woodworking and furniture have been reported during the press conference.
"The response of exhibitors is encouraging and nearly all exhibition spaces have been sold out. 49% of 2006 exhibitors have enlarged their booth size to cater for further business opportunities. Under the proactive and customized invitation strategies, buyer delegations from Vietnam, Malaysia, Russia, Japan as well as South East Asian, European and American countries are planning their trip to visit the 3-days show. We expect there are more than 10,000 trade visitors coming from mainland and worldwide, especially those from Southeast Asian countries." Mr. Stanley Chu, the chairman of Adsale Exhibition Services Limited, pointed out during press conference.
WMF Shunde is an extension in Southern China of WMF in Beijing, the Asia's largest woodworking exhibition (exhibition area reached 44,000 square meters in 2006) with over 20 years of successful record. Last edition, WMF Shunde 2006 occupied a total exhibition area of 11,500 square meters. 181 exhibitors from 10 countries and regions, including Belgium, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, Italy, Israel, Japan, P.R. China, Singapore, Taiwan Province and USA, have showcased nearly 500 machineries. The 3-day event has attracted 7,000 visitors from 36 countries and regions. With the remarkable achievement assured by the industry, the proportion of exhibitors who are coming region outside from Guangdong in upcoming edition have been increased to 30%. This diversify exhibitor profile assures WMF Shunde 2007 as an ideal sourcing platform of quality woodworking machineries and material products.
Mr. Ma Qi Sheng, Secretary General of China National Forestry Machinery Association pointed out the competition in woodworking market is so keen, particularly in export market. To cope with competition and outstand products from other companies, product quality is the only solution. As a result, Mr. Ma suggested mainland woodworking enterprises should put more resources on research, technology and equipment development. To coincide with industry's need, apart from showcasing a wide spectrum of exhibits and innovating technology, WMFSD also serves as a platform for market information exchange. Symposia on pressing topics in woodworking and furniture industry will be organized, including "Safety management for furniture production", "Application of CE marking", "Application of Digital Control on Furniture Production Process" and "Status Quo & Development Trend of China Furniture Design". Moreover, factory visit will be provided for interested buyers to Lunjiao - China Woodworking Machinery Hub. All these concurrent events offer an excellent opportunity for enterprises to share valuable experience and get the most up-to-date market information.
The upcoming edition of WMF Shunde 2007 will be held concurrently with the 4 furniture shows at Guangzhou, Dongguan, Shenzhen and Longjiang, Shunde. Buyers could visit WMF Shunde 07 together with furniture shows at a short period of time and making their sourcing trip more fruitful. To further saving buyer's travelling time, free shuttle services will be arranged from aforesaid furniture expos as well as furniture hub located in Longjiang and Lecong, Shunde, Guangdong province to Shunde Exhibition Centre directly.
