"China (Yiwu) International Exhibition on Narrow Fabric, Braiding & Garment Machinery 2007" will be held on November 14-16, 2007 at China Commodity City Meihu Exhibition Centre of Yiwu in Zhejiang Province, PR China. It is the first ever narrow fabric machinery fair in Chang Jiang Delta. In addition, Ufi approved "The 8th China (Yiwu) International Exhibition on Hosiery, Knitting, Dyeing & Finishing Machinery" (also known as Yiwu H&G) will be held concurrently.
Since its debut in 2000, Yiwu H&G has been highly supported by the Government of Yiwu City. This fair enhances the development of Yiwu's hosiery, seamless underwear, zipper making and narrow fabrics industries, and provides an advanced technology and information exchange platform to raise the competitiveness, branding building ability, market share, export value and currency earning of the above industries.
There are over 1,400 hosiery enterprises now in Yiwu City, the annual output value is around RMB 6 billion, which contributes over 40% of the country's output. There are 150 seamless underwear enterprises, they manufacture over 80 million sets of seamless clothing annually, which contributes 80% of the country's output and 15% of the world's output. There are over 300 zipper making enterprises, with output contributing 35% of the country's output and in which 80% are exporting to the world. Yiwu also owns the largest zipper professional market in the world. Recently, there is an accelerating pace in the development of narrow fabrics and lace industry of Yiwu. There are 480 braiding enterprises, in which 270 are narrow fabrics enterprises, 171 are strings enterprises and 32 are computer label printing enterprises. The output of braiding products contributes 38% of the country's output. However, under this high development rate, enterprises still having pressure facing competition. There is an urge in innovations, brand building and eliminating improper competitions to keep the survival of the industry.
After visiting related associations and important enterprises, the organizer decided to response initiatively the urge and needs of the industry and organize "China (Yiwu) International Exhibition on Narrow Fabric, Braiding & Garment Machinery 2007"(the first ever narrow fabric machinery fair in Chang Jiang Delta) alongside with Yiwu H&G. The organizer is now actively organize a series of concurrent events. Through the fair and targeted concurrent events, the organizer hopes to solve the problem faced by the enterprises, and to raise the sustaining development ability of braiding industry of Yiwu and China, further enhancing the development of China's braiding industry.
Nowadays, there is an increasing strength in the research and development of new fibre in China and the world. Enterprises emphasize more and more on the utilization of new materials while they are developing mew products. In order to fulfill enterprises' needs of new materials, this year's fair newly added a thematic zone for yarns and fibres. It is to get the enterprises closer to the international advanced level, to raise the class of products and to provide the most updated news in technology, so that an increased in profit can be achieved.
The other 4 thematic zones of this year's fair include "Dyeing and Finishing Machines", "Seamless Underwear, Kintting and Hosiery Machines", "Braiding, Label Printing and Zipper Making Machines" and "Gloves Kintting Machines".
