EP / Electrical Shanghai Returns to Shanghai in 2007 |

The 6th International Exhibition on Electric Power Equipment and Technology (EP Shanghai 2007) and the 5th International Exhibition on Electrical Engineering, Electrical Equipment and Contractors' Supplies (Electrical Shanghai 2007) are scheduled to be held from 5th -7th June 2007 at Level 1 & 2, Shanghai International Exhibition Centre (INTEX), Shanghai, PR China.
Found in 1986, EP / Electrical China and EP / Electrical Shanghai are organized by China Electricity Council and held rotationally in Shanghai and Beijing in alternate years. As the largest and most reputable electric power and electrical trade fair in China, EP China / Shanghai has become the only power expo endorsed by UFI Approved Event in China, with full supports from the major power group corporations and power grid corporations in China.
In last edition, EP / Electrical China 2006 had successfully attracted over 300 exhibitors from 21 countries / regions, covering a floor space of 14,000sqm. In addition, Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology of Germany, the Korea Electrical Manufacturers' Cooperative (KEMC) and Korea Electrical Manufacturers Association (KOEMA) of Korea, Embassy of the United States of America - US Commercial Service and The Association for the British Electrotechnical Industry (BEAMA) organized large official pavilions to participate in the exhibition. Serving as a global sourcing hub, EP / Electrical China 2006 had gathered 26,800 China and overseas buyers and visitors at a time.
Meanwhile, EP / Electrical Shanghai 2007 has been receiving overwhelming responses from both international trade associations and leading companies of the industry. The Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology of Germany, KEMC and KOEMA of Korea, Embassy of the United States of America - US Commercial Service and ICEX of Spain have taken the lead to organize official pavilions again. In addition, considerable renowned market players such as 3M, ABB, Hitachi, Hyosung, Japan AE Power, EDF, ENEL, Schniewindt, Siemens, Huadian Switchgear, etc have confirmed to bring their latest equipment and technology to EP / Electrical Shanghai 2007.
According to a recent statistics, the total installed capacity of China exceeded 577GW by the end of September 2006. It is expected the total capacity will reach 750GW by 2010. It is no doubt that China will be a huge market for power generation equipment in coming few years. This favorable market forecast endows the industry with tremendous business opportunities. China Electricity Council will organize the China International Power Generation Technology Conference alongside EP / Electrical Shanghai 2007. Piloted by the main theme on "Green Power --- New Development of China Power Generation in the 21st Century", the conference will serve for the advanced and new power generation technological exchange between China and overseas professionals, especially to deliver insights on renewable energy, energy efficiency, environmental protection and power construction. It will also act as an in-depth communication platform for decision makers and specialists from the power generation industry. Over 300 delegates from power plants corporations, design institute and power supply bureau are expected to attend this significant event of the year.
To attract more trade visitors and thus strengthen interactions among the industrial players, a series of technical seminars on Power Technology, IT (Information Technology) and Power T&D will be held concurrently during EP / Electrical Shanghai 2007.
